Clarion Hotel & Suites Conference Center Memphis Airport – Hotel near airport in Memphis

My stay at the hotel was a mix of positives and negatives. The rooms on the first level were nicely clean and provided good value, but overall, the hotel seemed slightly run-down with dangling wires and stained carpet and upholstery. The service, especially Miss Vickie and the other waitresses in the restaurant, was super nice and helpful. The location, close to the airport with free shuttle service, was convenient, although the hotel seemed unprepared to accept guests around 3 pm. The dining experience was subpar, not worth the cost, with the staff overlooking cleanliness. However, the hotel was well-maintained and clean.

Although the room had a stench and was quite humid during my stay, I was glad I could tough it out for one night, knowing we could change if needed. The hotel provides refrigerators and microwaves in the rooms, which was convenient. The service was a bit mixed, with no assistance in loading bags but more helpful upon unloading, though it felt like they were expecting a tip more than providing good service. The location is perfect, especially for travelers near the airport, and the staff made me feel secure and welcome. The dining experience offered paid options but nothing I could eat; however, the tapas were delicious.

The hotel had a comfortable room, and the service was exceptional, with employees going the extra mile to address any issues. The location was perfect for my needs, although the dining experience was average with limited options and pricey breakfast. The lack of available luggage carts was inconvenient.
